Utilizing the Non-Buddist framing Glenn makes a masterful case for anti-speciesism as being foundational to walking the Path of liberation. It can also be said that this imperative is self-evident in the foundational teachings of the the buddhadharma e.g. Dhammapada 129-130, Path factor of Right Action, articulated as the First Precept.

In the absence extreme circumstance, it is indefensible to rob a sentient being of their bodily autonomy based on the morally irrelevant trait of species membership.
