The study of the mind is essential to both the craft of writing and the journey of meditation.

Both practices are about becoming intimate with our own inner processes, so that we may ultimately learn to trust our own minds and find our true voice. The celebrated author and Zen practitioner Natalie Goldberg goes so far as to say that writing practice is no different from other forms of Zen practice.

Explore the intersections of writing, meditation and Zen with Goldberg, a Zen practitioner of more than 40 years and beloved teacher of writing as a spiritual practice. Goldberg is the author of 15 books including Writing Down the Bones, the classic guide to writing which has sold over one million copies, and is the guide of a new eight-week online course, Writing Down the Bones

In this hour-long Zoom event, Goldberg joins Tricycle to discuss questions including how to establish a practice of meditative writing, overcoming obstacles to clear thinking and self-expression, emptiness in writing and Zen, and much more.

This event is free for Tricycle Premium subscribers and $10 for general admission. Subscribe to Premium or upgrade your existing subscription for free access.
