Shozan Jack Haubner is the pen name of a Zen Buddhist priest and writer. His essays have won a Pushcart Prize, and he has been published in the New York Times, The Sun, Lion’s Roar, and the Best Buddhist Writing series. His first book, Zen Confidential: Confessions of a Wayward Monk, was chosen as one of NPR’s Best Books of 2013 and won an Independent Publisher Book Award. His latest book is Single White Monk: Tales of Death, Failure, and Bad Sex. He also has a YouTube channel, Zen Confidential.
