Autechre have a new album out in March. I think they would be in my all-time top 5 artists, and I still get excited about their stuff.
Those all-important track titles:

Same, with remixed NJS sex beats.
HEY
HEY
EDIT: Brad, the Night Drugs track on the front page there might have been made for you. Site contains bangers.
The thread title can’t help but remind me of: “I heard you and your band sold your guitars and bought turntables/ I heard you and your band sold your turntables and bought guitars”
i thought the same thing!

One of my all-time favorite electronic songs is “Clipper” from Tri Repetae+++. The way that song builds, adding more and more elements, each one more aurally delicious than the last, enticing you to attempt to follow each one in turn until your mind fairly reels in its attempt to follow each element—that’s some amazing stuff. You can jump inside and swim around that song. It’s putting a kaleidoscope to your ear, turning it whichever way you please, transfiguring the prismatic colors into new fractal glories. There are a couple other songs on Tri Repetae+++album I like quite a bit, but the other two albums of theirs I’ve listened to a bit (LP5 and Incunabula) I’ve found mystifying. Do they have much else in the vein of “Clipper”?
viiiiiiiiiiiiibe
I’m pleased to see PAN have snuck one more record for the year - “Déviation Heat-Treated”. Sensate Focus (Mark Fell) remixing Heatsicks’s “Déviation” ep. Sounds like something that’ll sum the year up nicely.
^^^ Are you sure you didn’t dream that? ^^^^
Surprise release from the mighty PAN label, Heatsick re-worked by Mark Fell’s Sensate Focus across two long tracks totalling 35 minutes From behind your ear, PAN pluck a blink-and-miss exclusive: a 35 minute audio response by Mark Fell (Sensate Focus) to source material by Heatsick, somewhere between cover version, remix and deconstruction. Along the A-side ‘X’ plane, tones are exploded, harmonies refracted with HD dissonance; time is extruded, made ductile yet intangible. On the B-side ‘Y’ axis hydraulic undulations and roiling tones expand and contract between kinetic kink and gyroscopic funk with the pointillist, freeform choreography of a Merce Cunningham piece. One for the dancers and the DJs that know!
Everything about that made me very happy when the email came through. Not a dream thankfully.
That’s £3.50’s worth of thin air gratefully purchased from boomkat!
edit: Talking of Heatsick, there’s a free 42-minute track here that is pretty groovy. http://acolourfulstorm.com/post/33757632081/acs025 . The project is called A Colourful Storm, but I can’t really deduce anything about it.
And it’s worth it. Just finished the 18 minute first track. First half great. Second half - Holy shit!
thread lacks katz being brought in
// wrong thread
has anyone been listening to holy other?
i’m joycrying my face off right now.
Heavy slow jam:
Been getting quite into this Public Lover album. It’s (very recognisably) Bruno Pronsato, plus his partner Nina Leece on vocals. I don’t know why, but whereas I felt the vocals spoiled Andy Stott’s sound on his last alobum, here they really sound great. Reminds me in places of Lucien’N’Luciano’s Blind Behaviour from about 10 years ago, one of my favourite microhouse albums
public lover - a broken shape of you (album preview) by experimedia
Electronic album of the week! I dig these guys!
That’s a really good album Davy.
For Nick and others interested:
Guitars Are Poison
I like this guy.
Ahhh! This came out an hour ago. It is so good! Debut full-length.
Dane Chadwick - Water Work by Astro Nautico
And so free!

I actually thought I’d posted something about Dane Chadwick in here before. He’s now made two of my favorite electronic releases within the past year to date. This guy wins it.
